Bio

Michelle is the Associate Supervising Attorney of the Independent Consumer Advocacy Network (ICAN), a program at Community Service Society of New York (CSSNY). ICAN is New York's statewide ombudsprogram for people with Medicaid who need long-term care services. Michelle supervises a team of health counselors and attorneys who provide navigation and assistance with appeals to hundreds of Medicaid beneficiaries every month. She has been at CSS since 2017 and is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Cardozo School of Law, where she has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Health Law.
