Bio

CSS’s new VP of Development, Adriana Pezzulli, is a local fundraising leader with 22 years of experience in development leadership. Adriana spent the last 5 years as the Chief Development Office of national child welfare reform organization, Children’s Rights, which aims to create systemic change in the country’s foster care and juvenile justice systems. At Children’s Rights Adriana implemented a culture of fundraising excellence that exceeded annual goals for events, annual campaigns, grants, major giving and digital outreach.

For seventeen years she was the Director of Development for NYC’s Lower Eastside Girls Club, a national leader in youth and community development. She led a $20 Million Capital Campaign to build the organization’s Center for Community – a signature 33,000 sq ft state-of-the-art educational, arts and community facility that serves hundreds of girls from public housing through free after school, summer and weekend programming. During her tenure, Adriana also secured key investments for the growth of Girls Club Worldwide, a global network of girls’ empowerment programs in New Orleans, Nepal, Scotland, Chiapas Mexico and Sierra Leone.

Adriana was born and raised in New York City. She earned her BA from New York University’s Gallatin School and is currently earning her Executive MBA at Fordham’s weekend MBA program. Prior to the Girls Club, Adriana ran a literacy program for immigrant middle school youth through the Corporation for National and Community Service AmeriCorps program.
