Summary:

Food security remains a pertinent and persistent problem in New York City. Around 30% of New Yorkers are struggling to find their next meal, according to new data in this report.

This report takes a close look at the extent and the depth of food insecurity endured by New Yorkers for the past two decades. Using data from 20 years of the Unheard Third Survey has allowed us to observe changes in patterns of food hardship vis-à-vis changing economic and political environments.
